2 East is a day unit, composing of pre-admission clinic and a 10 bed day procedure ward. We provide a diverse range of services for cardiology and cardiothoracic patients. Our service facilitates smooth admission and discharge planning of cardiac patients as well as providing support and care for patients undergoing invasive and non-invasive cardiac diagnostics and interventions.

Caring for approximately 58,000 patients per year, emergency services are provided for a broad range of specialties including critical care, major trauma, mental health toxicology and emergency ambulatory care. The new facility is patient centred and provides for the latest in clinical equipment and information technology.

The Nurse Educator - Emergency is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of educational programs within the Emergency Department at Barwon Health to enable staff to provide contemporary evidence based nursing care. The Nurse Educator also works within the Nursing Education & Training team to provide educational programs and opportunities for Barwon Health staff.

This full time, temporary position involves managing a clinical caseload under the direction of the physiotherapist(s) in the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility at the McKellar Centre in North Geelong.
